Albert Klone

Albert Edward Klone, age 96, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, June 24, 2008.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hampton, NE. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 P.M. on Friday, June 27th at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora, NE. Interment will be at the Hampton Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Peter's Lutheran Church. OBITUARY: ALBERT EDWARD KLONE

Albert Edward Klone, the son of Edward and Martha (Reglean) Klone, was born in Bradshaw, Nebraska on August 4, 1911 and died in Denver, Colorado on June 24, 2008 at the age of 96.

He was a longtime farmer and blacksmith in the Bradshaw/Hampton area. He was an aircraft mechanic and instructor in Lincoln for the Lincoln Flying School and Army Air Corp during the late 1930's and early 1940's.

He was happily married to LaVera (Fenster) Klone for 71 years and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church since 1946.

He loved God, his church and its members; to restore aircraft and automobiles; play golf, pool and cards with his friends. A man of hope, kindness and happiness, he was a great father, husband and friend.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, wife LaVera Klone, son Phillip, granddaughter Tammy Klone and great granddraughter Alex Braun.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Daryl and wife Ruth Ann, Phillip's wife Minnie Ann Klone, grandchildren Jeffrey Klone and wife Stacy, Kathy Coburn and husband Mark, Michelle Braun and husband Allan, Mark Klone and wife Linda and Matthew Klone and fiance Julie Hopkins; great grandchildren Eliot, Ashley, Ian, Brittany, Paige, Benjamin, Garett, Taylor, Grant and Meagan.
