LaVera Klone

LaVera Klone, age 94, formerly of Bradshaw and Hampton died Monday, September 27, 2004, at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 1st at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev. George E. Damm will officiate. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Thursday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: LAVERA KLONE

LaVera Wilhemina Johanna Klone, the daughter of Emil and Johanna (Frank) Fenster, was born in Chappell, Nebraska on May 17, 1910 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on September 27, 2004, at the age of 94.

She grew up in rural Chappell and attended country school there. LaVera worked as a housekeeper for a family in Chappell following her schooling.

LaVera was united in marriage to Albert Klone on November 24, 1932. They lived with his parents on a farm near Bradshaw. In 1938, they moved to Lincoln, where her husband went to Aircraft school. Albert then went to work at the Lincoln Air Corps Base during World War II. After the war, in 1946, they moved to their farm near Bradshaw. They moved to the East Park Villa in 2002.

LaVera was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Hampton and the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the York County Extension Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Maynard Fenster and a granddaughter, Tamela Klone.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Albert Klone of Aurora; two sons, Phillip (Minnie Ann) Klone of Plymouth, Minnesota and Daryl (Ruth Ann) Klone of Littleton, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey Klone, Kathryn Coburn, Michelle Braun, Mark Klone and Matthew Klone and 10 great-grandchildren.
