Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 4, 1988 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Stockham Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Rose Knoble

Rose Knoble, the daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth (Zimmerman) Hefty, was born in Hamilton County on May 22, 1892, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 30, 1988, at the age of 96 years, 4 months, and 8 days.

She was raised in the Stockham area, where she attended country school.

On November 17, 1908, she was united in marriage to Martin Knoble at Stockham. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1941. They lived in the Stockham area, and after his death she had worked at nursing homes in Harvard and Minden. Norval was their only son.

Rose lived at the Crossroads Courts in Aurora for 4 or 5 years, and for the past 8 years had lived at the Memorial Community Care facility at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

She was a member of the Sutton Federated Church.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Norval; 2 brothers, John B. and Matthew; 4 sisters, Mary, Anna, Elizabeth and Ida.

Those who survive are one daughter-in-law, Evelyn Knoble of Friend; one grandson, 5 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
