Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 4, 1988 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Emma Knudsen

Emma Knudsen, the daughter of Lars and Anna (Petersen) Sorensen, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on October 21, 1902, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 2, 1988, at the age of 86 years and 11 days.

She grew up and attended country school near Hampton.

On December 14, 1925 she was united in marriage to Karl Knudsen at Omaha. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1979.

They farmed north of Hampton, and in 1969, they retired and moved into Marquette. In April of 1982, she moved into the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

Emma was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg, and was active in the church as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, John and Albert Sorensen; and 2 sisters, Bothilda Elkjer and Margaret Larsen.

Her only survivors are nieces and nephews.
