Delores Koberstein

Delores Koberstein, age 80, of Aurora, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the Hamilton Manor.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 24th at the Higby-McQuiston Chapel. Rev. Karen Garrison will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 P.M. OBITUARY: DELORES KOBERSTEIN

Delores Arlene Koberstein, the daughter of Edson Ralph and Pearl CIara (Motsinger) Bartholomew, was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on October 25, 1928 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on March 21, 2009, at the age of 80.

She grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she graduated from Northeast High School. Delores attended Kansas City Community College and then went to work for Equitable Life Assurance.

Delores married Robert P. Koberstein on December 31, 1954 at Kansas City, Missouri. They moved to Florida, where she worked at Patrick Air Force Base. They moved to Aurora and purchased an Interstate Battery franchise serving central Nebraska, with stores in Aurora and Grand Island. Robert passed away on April 16, 2001.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Neva Bartholomew.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paula (LaMoyne) Danhauer of Aurora; grandson, Zachary (Annie) Danhauer of Aurora; sister-in-law, Mary (Harold) Gibson of Aurora and two great-grandchildren, Torri & Landon Danhauer of Aurora.
