Glenn KrabielFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 24, 1985 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Glenn Krabiel Glenn Peter Krabiel, the son of Daniel J. and Matilda (Engel) Krabiel, was born in Hamilton County, near Stockham, on September 14, 1898, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 12, 1985, at the age of 86 years, 10 months, and 7 days. He received his schooling at the Stockham School until 1917 and graduated from the Aurora High School in 1918. He grew up and lived on the same farm 3 miles north of Stockham. On December 12, 1922, he was united in marriage to Elma Ross. One son Ross, was born to this union. She preceded Glenn in death on September 20, 1940. On May 6, 1946, he was married to Mabelle Brown, at Salina, Kansas. They continued to reside on the farm, and in 1976, they moved into their present home in Aurora. Glenn was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church until it merged with the United Methodist Church, and at the time of his death was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. He had been a member of the Lions Club for 30 years, served on the first Hamilton Manor Board for 10 years, and was a member of theEldorado Co-op board for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Elma. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Mabelle; one son Ross and his wife Shirley, all of Aurora; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends. |
