Mabelle KrabielFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 8, 1991 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Mabelle Krabiel Mabelle Grabiel, the daughter of Elmer and Grace (Dille) Brown, was born on a farm near Aurora, Nebraska, on June 27, 1905, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 5, 1991, at the age of 86 years and 8 days. She grew up on the farm, and continued to live there with her brother, Arthur, for a time, following the death of her parents. She received her education in Hamilton County schools and the Aurora High School. After moving into town, she worked for Jessie Bakery, the Aurora Cemetery, the Safeway Store, and the Ordinance Plant in Grand Island. On May 6, 1946, she was united in marriage to Glenn Krabiel, at Abilene, Kansas. They made their home on a farm near Stockham, Nebraska, where they lived until 1976, when they moved into Aurora. Mabelle was a lifelong member of churches in the Aurora area and at the time of her death, belonged to the United Methodist Church in Aurora. She thoroughly enjoyed her many church and social activities as long as she was able. Mabelle enjoyed many friends and was a devoted grandmother to her 3 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn who died July 18, 1985, a brother Arthur Brown, and an infant brother George Brown. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her step-son Ross Krabiel and his wife Shirley of Aurora. Their children, Sheryl of Grand Island, Monte of Kearney, and Janis Hanson and her husband John of Aurora, and their children, Alissa, Jeni and John of Aurora, also a sister-in-law, Minnie Brown of Lincoln, 5 nieces and nephews and their families, and many more relatives and friends. |
