OBITUARY: CHARLYNN KRAL KRCILEK

On August 22, 2005 Charlynn was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and decided she had been given this journey for a reason. Either to show people how to beat stage 4 cancer, or, that if your soul is in order, it is okay to die.

Charlynn was the oldest of nine sisters with an extended family numbering eighteen nieces and nephews. Charlynn was fortunate to have numerous friends in the form of families that she cleaned for (who treated her like a queen), the 1st Responders, the GADC, her fellow clerks throughout the state and past and present village trustees, members of St. Joseph and St. Mary Catholic Church, many priest friends, and Godparent couples.

Charlynn Rae Kral was born in Hastings, Nebraska to Charles Richard and Celestine Carolyn (Heinrich) Kral on June 8, 1956 and was raised on a farm near Campbell. Charlynn graduated from Campbell Public Schools in 1974. In 1976, Charlynn married Richard Krcilek and they made their home in Giltner. Charlynn always said that her proudest accomplishment was her two children, Nate and Adam. Charlynn also took pride in the fact that they both served their country in the U.S. Army.

Charlynn is survived by her two sons, Nate Krcilek and Adam Krcilek and fiancée Karly of Lincoln; mother Celestine and her husband, Dale Bunger; 8 sisters, Mary Kral, Pat Grams, Pam (Terry) Chalupa, Jan (Ron) Luikens, Deb Larson, Joni Kral, Barb (John) Sullivan and Brenda (Andy) Ellingson; 18 nieces and nephews and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Kral.
