Ezra KremerFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 5, 1998 at the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Ezra Kremer Ezra Carl Kremer, the son of Benjamin and Mattie (Rediger) Kremer, was born at Milford, Nebraska, on February 28, 1909, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 2, 1998, at the age of 89 years, 6 months, and 4 days. He attended Aurora High School and a summer agriculture session at the University of Nebraska before beginning his lifelong love of farming. On May 27, 1934, he was united in marriage to Leta Zehr. They lived on the family farm southwest of Aurora, where they raised their three children. Later they built a home west of Aurora on highway 35, where they continued to live after retirement. Since November 1996, he has been a resident of the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Ezra was a member of the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church, and had taught Sunday School and served as deacon for many years at the Pleasant View Mennonite Church southwest of Aurora. He also enjoyed raising cattle and had a love for horses. He had served many years on the Aurora Co-op elevator board. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Maurice. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Leta of Aurora; two sons Dick and his wife Judy, and Ron and his wife Carol all of Aurora; one daughter Marilyn Douglass and her husband Jim of Concordia, Kansas; one sister Verna Wadell and her husband Helmer of Aurora; eight grandchildren, Bradley Douglass and wife Keryn, Shelli Pearson and husband Mike, Anita Hansen and husband Gary, Lynett Fruits and husband Roy, Angela Hackett and husband Rob, Craig Douglass and wife Amy, Michelle Cabell and husband Harry, and Lee Ann Vaughan and husband Mark; 17 great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. |
