Rhoda Kreutz
Rhoda Kreutz, age 78, formerly of Aurora, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001 in North Platte. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday at the United Methodist Church in Aurora. Dr. Joe Scahill will officiate. Private family burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery prior to the service. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M., Thursday at Higby Mortuary. OBITUARY: RHODA KREUTZ Rhoda Gene Kreutz, the daughter of Irvin and Hilda (Hein) Brenneman, was born in Harvard, Nebraska on March 24, 1922 and died in North Platte, Nebraska on March 13, 2001, at the age of 78 years. She grew up in Harvard and graduated from Harvard High School. Rhoda was united in marriage to Max A. Kreutz on August 19, 1942 at Kearney, Nebraska. They farmed near Harvard until the spring of 1944, when they moved to a farm near Aurora. Later they moved into Aurora. Max passed away in October 1978. Rhoda enjoyed several winters in Oregon. In 1998, she moved to North Platte to be near her daughter. Rhoda was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Happy Hour Club. She was an avid nature person. Rhoda loved her arts and crafts and was an accomplished artist. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Max and a niece, Patricia Kreutz. Rhoda is survived by her daughter, Judy Thompson and her husband Charles of North Platte; granddaughter, Melissa Gilbert and her husband Shawn of North Platte; great-grandson, Cole Gilbert of North Platte; two sisters, Jacqueline Hughes of El Centro, California and Delores Taylor of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister-in-law, Norma Kreutz of Phillips; brother-in-law, Dick Kreutz |
