Stacy Kruse

Stacy Kruse, age 32, of Aurora, died Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Rev. Jack Eske will officiate. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M., Thursday at Higby Mortuary.

OBITUARY: STACY KRUSE

Stacy Donald Kruse, the son of Donald C. and Janice R. (Lagoni) Kruse, was born in Grand Island, Nebraska on May 27,1968 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on February 20, 2001, at the age of 32 years.

Stacy grew up in Aurora, Nebraska and attended elementary, junior high and high school there. He was active in many school activities, including sports and band. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for two years, then transferred to Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska, where he earned his Associates Degree in Applied Sciences in Electronics.

Stacy went to work in Beatrice for the Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America. On October 15, 1993, he was united in marriage to Danielle Klepper in Beatrice, Nebraska. His job took him and his young family to Great Bend, Kansas. After losing his home in Kansas to a propane explosion, Stacy moved back to Aurora. He went to work for Nebraska Energy as an instrument technician at their ethanol production plant west of Aurora.

Stacy was a devout father to his two boys, and enjoyed a variety of activities both indoors and out, almost all of which involved spending time with his children. He also had a wide variety of other interests including computers and electronics, music, archery and movies.

He was baptized and confirmed, and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg, Nebraska.

Stacy was preceded in death by an infant sister, Kristi, and by his grandfathers L.H. (Bud) Kruse and Harold Lagoni, and step-grandparents, Walter and Violet Gustafson.

Stacy is survived by his son, Austin of Aurora; step-son, Trey of Wymore; parents, Donald and Janice Kruse of Aurora; two sisters, Tricia Grafton and her husband Scott of Lincoln and Melanie Kellogg and her husband Andy and their children of Lincoln; two brothers, Kirk Gustafson and his wife Julie and their children of Lincoln and Kevin Gustafson and his wife Linda and their son of Giltner; grandparents, Mary (Kruse) Larson and her husband Ray of Boelus, and grandmother, Leona Lagoni of rural Hampton.
