Hulda Lager

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 28, 1990 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Hulda Lager

Hulda Catherine Lager, the daughter of August and Elise (Kruse) Mangelsen, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska, on April 5, 1919, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 26, 1990, at the age of 71 years, 8 months, and 21 days.

She grew up and attended school in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High.

On April 21, 1939, she was united in marriage to Edward Niedfelt, and she worked for the 3rd City Sand Company, and also was a substitute driver for her husband, for the company. He was killed in an airplane accident on February 24, 1955.

On December 27, 1959, she married Leonard Lager in Kansas. They lived in Grand Island for a time, and then moved to Aurora, and she worked for Stuchlik Reality, Inc., for a number of years. For the last several years she has been retired. Leonard preceded her in death on March 9, 1981.

Hulda was baptized and confirmed in the Messiah Lutheran Church in Grand Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and one sister, Evelyn Plautz.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are 3 brothers, Emil Mangelsen of Grand Island, Elmer Mangelsen of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Henry Mangelsen of San Jose, California; one sister, Dorothy Taylor of Grand Island, and nieces and nephews and other relatives.
