Kenneth LagerFuneral Services were held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 8, 1989 at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Inurnment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Kenneth Lager Kenneth Einer Lager, the son of Gustaf and Sonja (Hafstrom) Lager, was born November 20, 1927, on a farm near Phillips, Nebraska, and passed away on July 5, 1989, at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska, at the age of 61 years, 7 months, and 15 days. He attended country schools, and from 1946 to 1948, he served in the United States Air Force. After his discharge he moved to California, where he attended plastering school, to learn the masonry trade. On November 20, 1948, he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Sims, at Yuma, Arizona. They moved to Aurora, Nebraska, where he started his own plastering business and then worked into general contracting. In later years he sold and erected grain bins and metal buildings and serviced them. Kenny was a member of the Christian Church in Aurora. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Leonard. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Betty Lou. 2 sons, Kenneth, Jr. and wife Vicki of Portland, Oregon and Kirk and wife Jackie of Lincoln; 3 daughters, Mrs. Paul (Susan) Hartshorn, Mrs. Christine Shada, and Mrs. Bryan (Jolene) Spale, all of Lincoln. His mother, Sonja Lager of Aurora, and 10 grandchildren. |
