Irvin Langenberg

Funeral Services were held 9:45 A.M., Friday, October 9, 1992 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Irvin Langenberg

Irvin Langenberg was born in Becker County, Minnesota on September 3, 1915, on of thirteen children of Henry and Dora Langenberg.

He was baptized October 29, 1916 and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Oxford, Nebraska on May 11, 1930.

In 1923 he moved with his parents to a farm south of Atlanta, Nebraska. He attended school in Harlan County. He served two years in the Civilian Conservation Corps at Halsey, Nebraska and later served four years in the Army during World War II.

On April 6, 1946, he married Maria Ernst of Bertrand, Nebraska. The first four years they lived on a farm southeast of Bertrand and then on a farm south of Lexington, Nebraska for 7 years. In January of 1957, the family moved to Shickley, Nebraska and resided there till February of 1990 when they moved to Aurora, Nebraska.

He passed away Monday, October 5, 1992 at the York Hospital at the age of 77 years, one month, and two days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors are his wife Maria, two daughters, Susan Ryan of Lincoln and Peggy Langenberg of Aurora, one son Randy and wife Cynthia of Prosser. Six grandchildren and six great-grandchidlren. Three brothers, Harold of Waseca, Minnesota, Albert of Bertrand, and Henry of Kearney, two sisters, Agnes Langenberg and Dorothy Langenberg of Holdrege.
