Maurice LantzerFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 8, 1995 at the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Interment was held at the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Maurice Lantzer Maurice Leon Lantzer, the son of Claude and Alberta (Kemper) Lantzer, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 7, 1914, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 5, 1995, at the age of 80 years, 9 months, and 28 days. He grew up on a farm near Aurora, attended District #56, and Aurora High School. On March 7, 1937, he was united in marriage to Iola Reisinger at Aurora. He helped his father and neighbors with farming until 1936, when he went to work at the Crete Mills for on year. He then began farming north of Aurora, and did carpenter work until 1979, when he moved to Aurora. Maurice was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Eileen Swanson and a grandson Philip Lantzer. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Iola of Aurora; 4 sons, Duane of Grand Island, Lee of Denton, Montana, Deryl of Aurora, and Merle of Kearney; 3 daughters, Marilyn Barber of Omaha, Carol Dyck of Duvall, Washington, and Janet Talich of Omaha; 22 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, and nephews. |
