Lucile LarsenFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 14, 1995 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Lucile Larsen Lucile Wilma Larsen, the daughter of Harry “Hoot” and Ella (Brown) Gibson, was born at St. Paul, Nebraska, on January 12, 1920, and died at Lincoln, Nebraska, on June 11, 1995, at the age of 75 years, 4 months, and 29 days. She grew up in the Clarks and Marquette areas where she received her education. On September 15, 1943, she was united in marriage to Darold Larsen, at Aurora. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1986. Lucile worked various jobs during her life, including cleaning, waitressing, and was employed at the Grand Island Ordinance Plant. She and Darold owned and operated the Marquette Store and Café from 1970 to 1983, when she began work as a custodian at the Marquette Public School, until her retirement in 1990, when she moved to Aurora. She was a member of the Marquette and Aurora United Methodist Church, had belonged to the Marquette Lioness Club, and served as past president. She attended activities at the Crossroads Court where she lived. She was a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and was very active in the community until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Frances Larson and an infant grandson Eric Reisinger. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Terry and his wife Deb of Grand Island; her daughter Rhonda Reisinger and her husband Dave of Hampton; 4 grandchildren Chad of Hastings, Melanie and Erica of Hampton, and Alex of Grand Island; also many nieces and nephews and friends. |
