Bessie LarsonFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 24, 1993 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg, Nebraska. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. OBITUARY: Bessie Larson Bessie Ethel Larson, the daughter of Mical and Mary (Rader) Rader, was born at Rader, Missouri, on April 11, 1910, and died at Central City, Nebraska, on August 21, 1993, at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 10 days. Her parents moved to Nebraska when she was 6 years old, and she started rural school near Axtell, Nebraska, then her parents moved to North Platte, Nebraska, where she finished school. On April 3, 1931, she was united in marriage to Raymond E. Larson, at North Platte. In 1946, the family moved to the Marquette Community where they farmed. In 1968, they moved into Marquette. Bessie was baptized when she was 2 days old by her great grandfather. In 1871, her parental ancestors founded the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Rader, Missouri. It is very similar to the church at Kronborg, only of German decent. Bessie and Raymond were both confirmed at the First Evangelical Church of North Platte on April 13, 1924. On January 21, 1976, they transferred their membership from the Marquette Methodist Church to St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Ruth Marshal and Ruby Ollie. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Raymond of Marquette; 2 sons, Raymond, Jr., of Grand Island, and Richard of Marquette; 2 daughters, Mary Ann Guilford of Hampton, and Barbara Rickords of Ponca City, Oklahoma; one brother, Howard Rader of Denver, Colorado; 2 sisters, Mary Sinclair of Lawrence, Michigan, and Blanche Downing of Yakima, Washington; 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. |
