E. Warren Larson
Emil Warren Larson, age 76, of Aurora, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Bryan/LGH East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 30th at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Jim Corson will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: EMIL WARREN LARSON Emil Warren Larson, the son of Emil W. and Bertha L. (Eckert) Larson, was born June 9, 1930 in Aurora, Nebraska and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 27, 2007, at the age of 76. He grew up in rural Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1947. Following high school he served his country with the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. Warren was united in marriage to Sherilyn Shafer on May 31, 1957 in Hastings, Nebraska. Following their marriage they resided in Aurora where he farmed his entire life until he retired a few years ago. Warren drove a school bus for the Aurora Public Schools for 27 years. Warren was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and the Aurora American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law Irl (Louella) Larson, and sister and brother-in-law Rosanna (Keith) Campbell. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sherilyn of Aurora; son Douglas (Jane) Larson of Leawood, Kansas; daughters Rhonda Larson of Kansas City, Missouri and Marjorie (Randy) Shackleton of Gibbon, NE; grandchildren Will Larson of Leawood, Kansas, Cole Shackleton of Lincoln, Danielle Shackleton and Brooke Schumm of Gibbon, Nebraska; brothers Bill (Dorothy) Larson, Bob (Betty) Larson, and Steve (Linda) Larson; sister Susan (Ernie) Williams; special friends Russ and Tammy Ridgway, their daughter Lakin Kohl; and other family members and friends. |
