Irl Larson

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 4, 1986 at the Marquette United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Irl Larson

Irl Eckert Larson, the son of Emil and Bertha (Eckert) Larson, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 31, 1932, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 1, 1986, at the age of 54 years, 1 month, and 1 day.

Most of his lifetime was spent in Hamilton County, except for 6 months he spent in Cheyenne, Wyoming, after graduating from Aurora High School, and the 2 years spent in the service of his country in the United States Army. He served during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954, serving 15 months in Germany.

On August 20, 1955, he was united in marriage to Louella Sims, at Aurora. They moved to the Marquette area in 1957, and have lived at the same location since 1966.

Irl was a member of the Marquette Methodist Church since 1958, and had served as an usher and then trustee for many years. He was baptized in the Aurora Methodist Church. He was also a charter member of the Marquette Lions, and was a member of the American Legion Post #42, in Aurora. As a youth he was active in 4-H. He was a partner in Andersen & Associates Seed Company.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one sister, Rosanna Campbell.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Louella; one son Richard of Grand Island; one daughter, Terry Howe, of Lincoln; 4 brothers, Warren, William, Robert and Steven, all of Aurora; one sister, Susan Salmon of Aurora; 5 grandchildren; and his mother and step-father, Bertha and Don Davis of Aurora, and many other relatives and close friends.
