Louella Larson
Louella Larson, age 70, of Marquette, died Monday, August 19, 2002, at her home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, August 22nd at the Higby-McQuiston Chapel in Aurora. Rev. Seth Leypoldt will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Louella Larson, the daughter of Alfred Lynn and Susan Margaret (Hutsell) Sims, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on January 27, 1932 and died in Marquette, Nebraska on August 19, 2002, at the age of 70. She grew up in Aurora and attended school in Aurora. Louella was a waitress at Spry's Café. She worked as a telephone operator at the phone company. Louella wrote local community news articles for the Aurora News Register and then worked as a telemarketer for A.T.I. Louella was united in marriage to Irl Eckert Larson on August 20, 1955 at Aurora. They moved to the Marquette Area in 1957, where Louella helped farm with her husband. Irl passed away on March 1, 1986. Louella was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and had been a member of the Christian Church in Aurora and the United Brethren Church in Marquette. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Terry Davis and her husband Steve of Hickman; son Rick Larson of Marquette; sister Carol Jones of Central City; 4 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces nephews and friends. She is also survived by four brother-in-laws, Warren Larson and his wife Sherlyn, Bob Larson and his wife Betty, Steve Larson and his wife Linda and Bill Larson and his wife Dorothy all of Aurora and one sister-in-law, Sue Williams and her husband Ernie of Grand Island. |
