Marjorie Larson

Marjorie Larson, age 96, of Grand Island died Thursday evening, October 18, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare-Park Place in Grand Island.

Funeral Services will be held in California at a later date. Pastor Gary Jensen of the Campbell Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose, California. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: MARJORIE LARSON

Marjorie Aurelia Edna Larson, the daughter of Roy Lynwood and Mary Edna Aurelia (Walker) Mitchell was at San Luis Obisbo, California on July 18, 1905 and died in Grand Island, Nebraska on October 18, 2001, at the age of 96 years.

Her family homesteaded in the Jolon/Lockwood area. They lived on the Coast of California near Big Sur. She attended school through the 8th grade.

Marjorie was united in marriage to August John Larson in March 1930. Three children were born to this union: Lynna, Gwendelyn and John. Marjorie worked as a practical nurse for many years and then in property management for several years. August passed away in November 1973.

Marjorie was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and her three children, Lynna Marie Zinola, Gwendolyn Juliette Osborne and John August Larson, and grandson, Gregory Fletcher Osborne.

Marjorie is survived by her eight grandchildren, Randy Brehms of Grand Island, Cheri Eckles Foley, Darin Zinola, Kimberly Zinola Franchie, Johnny Larson II, Debbie Larson, Eddie Larson and Eric Larson all of California and 15 great-grandchildren.
