Raymond Larson, Sr.Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 3, 1995 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Interment was held in the Kronborg Cemetery. OBITUARY: Raymond Larson, Sr. Raymond Ernest Larson, Sr., the son of Hans and Sarah (Stackerman) Larson, was born in the house where the brick factory was located, near Kronborg, Nebraska, on June 27, 1908, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 31, 1995, at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 4 days. In 1917, his family moved to Lincoln County, Nebraska, where he attended rural schools and also attended school in North Platte. While living in Lincoln County he farmed and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. On April 3, 1932, he was united in marriage to Bessie Rader at North Platte, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on August 21, 1993. In 1946, he moved his family to Hamilton County, and was engaged in farming. In 1968, they moved into Marquette and he worked for Berkeley Pump Company in Grand Island for 9 years. Raymond was baptized as an infant in the Lutheran Church north of Hampton, which is now located at the Stuhr Museum in Grand Island. In 1976, they joined St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Bessie. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his 2 sons, Raymond Jr., of Grand Island, Richard of Marquette; 2 daughters, Mary Ann Guilford of Hampton, and Barbara Rickords of Ponca City, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Edna Nelson of North Platte, and Leona Danhauer of Aurora; 9 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. |
