Alan Lee
Alan Lee, age 52, of Aurora, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Memorial Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. Rev. Karl B. Larson will officiate. There will be no viewing. Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 P.M., Monday at Higby Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Hamilton Community Foundation for the Alan Lee Scholarship, the Evangelical Covenant Church or the Covenant Cedars Bible Camp. OBITUARY: ALAN LEE Alan Lowell Lee, the son of Starling Durward and Lorraine (Walberg) Lee, was born at Hastings, Nebraska on April 15, 1949 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on June 30, 2001, at the age of 52 years. Alan grew up in Ord and graduated from Ord High in 1967. He taught one year at Marquette and 18 years in Aurora. Alan taught drafting and industrial technology. He coached basketball and football. In 1992, he began his career as a real estate appraiser. Alan was united in marriage to Suzanne Start on July 19, 1975 in Omaha. They had two children, Casey and Darcie. He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Aurora Chamber of Commerce and Aurora Diplomat. Alan loved deer hunting with rifle and bow. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin and starting family traditions. He loved to work, build houses and spend time with his dogs. Alan devoted his life to his wife and children. He enjoyed antiques, especially collecting lightening rod balls and marbles. Alan cherished life and his family. Alan was preceded in death by his father, Starling Lee. Alan is survived by his wife Suzanne Lee of Aurora; son, Casey Alan Lee of Aurora; daughter, Darcie Suzanne Lee of Aurora; mother, Lorraine Lee of Aurora; brother, Terry Lee of Brigham City, Utah; half-sisters, Beverly Reeves and Barbara Denham, both of Amarillo, Texas. |
