Funeral Services were held 1:30 P.M., Saturday, February 4, 1989 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Lloyd Lentz

Lloyd Melvin Lentz, the son of Melvin and Gertrude (Richard) Lentz, was born at Stockham, Nebraska, on December 20, 1900, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 1, 1989, at the age of 88 years, 1 month, and 11 days.

He grew up in the Stockham and Hampton area and attended country school.

On September 21, 1929, he was married to Lucille Deal, at Grand Island. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1986.

Lloyd worked for the Burlington Railroad for 35 years, and then worked at the Co-op elevator until he retired. For the past 4 years he has resided at the Memorial Care Center at the Hospital in Aurora.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers, Lester and Orville; one sister Hazel Thomas and one grandson, Michael Kingston.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his 2 daughters, Jean Kingston and Marianne Heslop, both of Grand Island; one sister Lorena Kirkpatrick of Story, Wyoming, and 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
