Annette LenzFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 21, 1985, at the Elmwood United Methodist Church in Elmwood, Nebraska. Interment was held in the Elmwood Cemetery. OBITUARY: Annette Lenz Annette Caroline Lenz, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Hutt) Eikerman, was born at Greenwood, Nebraska, on November 8, 1900, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 19, 1985, at the age of 85 years and 11 days. Her childhood was spent in the Greenwood area where she attended school. On September 5, 1923, she was united in marriage to Walter H. Lenz, at Greenwood. After their marriage they farmed at Elmwood, then moved to a farm at Chappell, Nebraska in 1929. In 1936, they moved to Beaver Crossing, where Reverend Lenz entered the ministry. They then served in Eustis, Imperial, Culberson, Scotia, Laurel, Amherst-Miller and retired to Elmwood in 1967. They moved to Aurora 10 years ago, and for the past 2 years have resided in the Hamilton Manor. “Nettie” was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Luella and one step-sister. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Walter; 2 sons, Rev. Duane Lenz of Lincoln and Carroll Lenz of Ft. Worth, Texas; 2 daughters, Marilyn Krause and Crystal Graham, both of Hurst, Texas; one brother Raymond Eikerman of Alvo; 3 sisters, Anna Backemeyer of Elmwood, Hazel Miller of Unadilla and Pearl Miller of Portland, Oregon; one step-sister, Henrietta Kauffman of Omaha; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends. |
