Ruth Liebhart

Ruth Liebhart, age 76, of Aurora, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 22nd at the Chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Pastor Sam Fox will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: RUTH LIEBHART

Ruth Irene Liebhart, the daughter of John G. and Sarah Margaret (Wright) Smith, was born north of Giltner, Nebraska on March 24, 1929 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on March 18, 2006, at the age of 76.

She grew up in Giltner and attended school through the 11th grade.

Ruth was married to Donald Roy Liebhart on December 7, 1947. They had two children, Roger and Margie. Ruth worked in many of the restaurants in the Aurora area over the years, such as the SYA Café, Pamida, Mitchell’s Café and J.M. McDonald’s.

Ruth loved to play Bingo and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, JoAnn Caster and three nieces, Margaret Ann Caster, Jeannie Flores and Peggy Kiser.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Donald R. Liebhart of Aurora; two children, Roger D. Liebhart of Aurora and Margie (Michael) Gross all of Aurora; 5 grandchildren, Christopher M. Gross and Janelle Melcher and Bradley A. (Clarissa) Gross all of Aurora, Heather Liebhart of Shelton and Samantha and Nathaniel Liebhart of Wood River; 3 great-grandchildren, Kyler Gross, Kaiden Gross and Kalli Gross. She is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Macky of Phillips, Charlene Minor of Alda and Yvonne Burkman of San Francisco.
