Larry Ljunggren

Larry Ljunggren, age 51, died Sunday, September 27, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 30th at the Evangelical Free Church in Aurora. Rev. Vance Christie will officiate. Internment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: LARRY LJUNGGREN

Larry Dean Ljunggren, the son of Lloyd and Bertha (Smith) Ljunggren, was born on October 28, 1957 at Aurora, Nebraska and died in Grand Island, Nebraska on September 27, 2009, at the age of 51 years, 10 months and 27 days.

Larry grew up on a farm ten miles south of Aurora. Larry attended Prairie Gem E.U.B. Church and was baptized June 25, 1967 at the Zion E.U.B Church at Harvard.

Larry graduated from Aurora High School in 1976 and Southeast Community College at Milford.

Larry served in the National Guard and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Doniphan.

Larry worked as a mechanic most of his life, and he helped farm. Larry held various jobs in Grand Island, Aurora and Doniphan area.

Larry will be greatly missed by his parents, Lloyd & Bertha Ljunggren of Harvard; two brothers, Roger Ljunggren and Dale (Leslie) Ljunggren all of Harvard; six sisters, Louise (Don) Graham of Aurora, Linda (David) Brandt of Ovid, Colorado, Rogene Shoemaker of Grand Island, Carol (Ron) Hanover of Grand Island, Connie (Rod) Buchanan of Grand Island and Joyce (Larry) Petersen of Central City; 10 nephews; 7 nieces, Kim, David and Sara Graham, Darrell, Mark and Paul Brandt, Julie Koenen, Jason Cerny, Gina Waterman, Jerry, Brandan and Catherine Ljunggren, Michael Hanover, Ian Buchanan, Jenni Larson, Megan and Carlyle Petersen; 5 great nephews and 5 great-nieces.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents; Rudolph and Ida Ljunggren, Len and Viola Smith; two nephews, Steven Cerny and Jonathon Graham and numerous special friends.
