Pearl Loge
Pearl Loge, age 91, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Tabitha Journey House in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 11th at the Monroe Evangelical Free Church north of Murphy. Pastor Bob Stretch will officiate. Interment will be in the Monroe Evangelical Free Cemetery. No Visitation. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: PEARL LOGE Pearl Evelyn Loge, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Eik) Palm, was born at Hannaford, North Dakota on June 23, 1921 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 31, 2012, at the age of 91. She grew up in Hannaford, North Dakota where she attended country schools. Before her marriage she was employed at meat packing plants. Pearl was united in marriage to Melvin Loge on August 2, 1941 at Fargo, North Dakota. Following their marriage she and her husband lived in several different towns while Mel pastored churches in Alberta, Manitoba, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas. Mel passed away on July 26, 2011. Pearl was a member at Monroe Evangelical Free Church. She loved the White Cross Work and helped until her health declined. She also helped the AWANA groups and was on the church ladies organizations at the churches they served. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Becky Loge and Marilynn Goertzen and one child in infancy, brother, Alvin Palm and sisters, Myrtle Skurdal and Marion Loge. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Stephen (Yolanda) Loge of Steedman, Missouri and Daniel Loge of Omaha; daughters, Ruth Ann (Charles) Clow of Edina, Minnesota, Donna (Glenn) Dagman of Lincoln and Barbara (Paul) Forsman of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Darwin Goertzen of Lincoln. |
