Graveside Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 25, 1996 at the Aurora Catholic Cemetery in Aurora, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Francis Logue

Francis William Logue, the son of Frank and Mary (Dwyer) Logue, was born January 25, 1916 at Hurley, South Dakota, and died Wednesday, October 23, 1996 at Aurora, Nebraska, at the age of 80 years, 8 months, and 28 days.

Francis grew up at Hurley, South Dakota, where he graduated from high school.

On December 6, 1939 he was united in marriage to Ruth Marie Vogt. They lived in Parker, South Dakota where her worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad.

On July 3, 1945, he enlisted in the Army, where he earned the rank of corporal. He was discharged on April 16, 1946.

Following his military service, they moved to Yankton, South where he helped with completion of the Gavins Point Dam. He managed Yankton Concrete Company in Yankton before moving to Bradshaw, Nebraska. In 1972 they moved to Aurora, where Francis worked for Cargill Grain until retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Maurice, one sister Dorothy Marquart and one brother Hugh Logue.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Ruth of Aurora, his son James of Aurora, 3 daughters, Bonnie Jennings and Maria Dilsaver of Aurora and Darlene Merkel of Phillips, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
