Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 18, 1984 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Westlawn Cemetery in Grand Island, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Shirley Ludwig

Shirley N. Ludwin, the daughter of John and Lillian Blixt Henthorn, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 9, 1926. Her death occurred at her home in Aurora, on July 25, 1984, at the age of 58 years, 4 months and 16 days.

She spent her childhood in the vicinity of Aurora and was educated in the public school in this vicinity and graduated from Aurora High School in 1943.

In 1947 she was united in marriage to Lou Emery. One son and one daughter were born to them. Their daughter, Rhonda Jo had preceded her in death. The family resided in Grand Island.

Mrs. Ludwig was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

In 1963 she returned to Aurora to make her home.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Bish of Aurora; one son, Steve Emery of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two brothers, John W. Henthorn, Jr. of El Cajon, California and Robert Henthorn of McCook, Nebraska; sister, Mrs. Virginia Jaeke of Shelton, Nebraska; four grandchildren and other relatives and close friends.
