Donald Luthy

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, April 20, 1987 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Donald Luthy

Donald Howard Luthy, the son of William and Ida (Frank) Luthy, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska, on July 12, 1911, and passed away at Omaha, Nebraska, on April 15, 1987, at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 3 days.

He attended rural schools in Hamilton County and Giltner High School.

On September 19, 1935, he was united in marriage to Gladys Vetter, at Mankato, Kansas.

Don was a lifetime farmer in Hamilton County, and was one of the early deep well irrigators in the area. For a number of years he was a member of the County Extension Board; was active in 4-H leadership, and was a member of the Rural District 4 school board. He was also a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Gladys; two sons, Roger of Phillips and Steven of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one daughter, Anette Wilson of Huntington Beach, California; two brothers, Frank and Clark both of Seattle, Washington; one sister Ilene Mankin of Aurora; 7 grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends.
