Gladys Luthy

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 2, 1994 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Gladys Luthy

Gladys Lorene Luthy, the daughter of George and Inez (Hill) Vetter, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 1, 1917, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 28, 1994, at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 27 days.

She attended grade school at District #64, and graduated from Aurora High School in 1935.

On September 19, 1935, she was united in marriage to Donald Luthy, at Mankato, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1987. After their marriage they farmed most of their life northwest of Aurora, near Murphy. In November of 1975, they retired and moved into their present home in Aurora. At the time of her death she was still involved in the farm operation with her son, Roger.

Gladys was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, was active in 4-H with her family, was a long time member of the Happy Hour Club, and was a member of a neighborhood birthday club.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Roger and his wife Berniece of Phillips, Steven and his wife Debbie of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one daughter Annette Wilson of Huntington Beach, California; a brother Donald Vetter of Marquette; a sister Doris Christenson of Aurora; 7 grandchildren, Linda and David Wilson of Huntington Beach, California, Randall Luthy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Rhonda Luthy of Omaha, Ranelle Luthy of Lincoln, Stacy and Kyle Luthy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a special friend Andrew Miller of Aurora.
