Roy Luthy

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 26, 1997 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Roy Luthy

Roy Harold Luthy, the son of Gottlieb and Cora (Schrock) Luthy, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska, on September 8, 1899, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 23, 1997, at the age of 97 years, 5 months, and 15 days.

He grew up and received his education in Hamilton County, and farmed northwest of Aurora.

On February 14, 1924, he was united in marriage to Hilma Ortegren at Central City, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on November 12, 1979. In 1954, they moved into Aurora, and for the past few months he had resided at the Colonial Corner in Aurora.

Roy was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and was a devoted worker at the Plainsman Museum. He was also a member of the Aurora Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one son DeRoyce

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son Norman and his wife JoAnn of Aurora; one daughter Darlene Roush and her husband Virgil of Grand Island; one brother Clarence of Aurora; 6 grandchildren, 13 great granchildren, and one great great grandchild.
