Robert E. LuthyFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, December 15, 1986 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Pleasant View Cemetery. OBITUARY: Robert E. Luthy Robert Eugene Luthy, the son of Clarence and Nellie (Peterson) Luthy, was born at Phillips, Nebraska, on January 31, 1933, and passed away south of Hampton, Nebraska, on December 11, 1986, at the age of 53 years, 10 months, and 10 days. He grew up in the Aurora area and graduated form Aurora High School in 1950. After graduation he worked at several jobs and in August of 1952, he married Benita Lively, at Aurora. He served his country during the Korean War, in the United States Army, from March 12, 1953, until January 27, 1955. After his discharge he worked at Woodrow, Colorado on construction in the oil fields. In 1958 he moved to Aurora and worked for Grosshans International as a mechanic, and then worked as a custodian at the Aurora Post Office for a short time, before he began farming. Later he started his own land leveling business and was later engaged in the trucking business. On September 10, 1983, he was united in marriage to Martha (Dunn) Isola, at Whitehall, Montana, and has been engaged in farming since. Bob was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and was also a member of L.I.C.A. Those who survive to mourn his untimely death are his wife, Martha; 2 sons, Robert Jonathan (RJ) of Lewellen and Paul of Phoenix, Arizona; 2 step-sons, David and Andy Isola, both of Helena, Montana; 2 daughters, Roberta Hayden of Aurora and Carolyn Luthy of Denver, Colorado; one step-daughter, Sheree Scow of Helena, Montana; one brother Dallas of Phillips; his parents, Clarence and Nellie Luthy of Aurora; 8 grandchildren, and many other relatives, close friends, and business acquaintances. |
