Marvin LynnFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery at Giltner, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Marvin Lynn Marvin G. Lynn, the son of James and Laura (Overton) Lynn, was born at Neligh, Nebraska, on February 8, 1928, and died suddenly at Tooele, Utah, on June 28, 1996, at the age of 68 years, 4 months, and 20 days. He received his education at Royal, and graduated from Royal High School in 1949. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps, from June 15, 1945, to September 30, 1946. He was united in marriage to Rosie Carey, on March 21, 1974, at Omaha, Nebraska. Marvin was a trucker all his life, and on March 1976, they moved to Giltner, where he was employed by Roy Chaney. He was a member of the Doniphan American Legion, and belonged to the V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Milford. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Rosie of Giltner; 2 daughters, Laurie Thornley of Omaha, and Melody Westmoreland of Carmel, California; 2 brothers, Merlyn of Missouri and Milo of Greenwood; 2 sisters Elsie Jean Velder of Neligh, and Marilyn Lynn of Norfolk; and 2 grandchildren. |
