Harry Madsen

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 7, 1990 at the United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Hampton United Lutheran Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Harry Madsen

Harry Earl Madsen, the son of Hans and Lydia (Henrikssen) Madsen, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on May 16, 1910, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 4, 1990, at the age of 80 years, 1 month, and 18 days.

He grew up at Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School in 1927.

On January 7, 1936, he was united in marriage to Doris M Cruff, at Denver, Colorado. They farmed northwest of Hampton, until 1959, when they moved into Hampton, and he was employed as custodian and bus driver for Hampton Public Schools, from 1959 to 1970. From 1970 to 1980, he was employed by the village of Hampton.

Harry was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church north of Hampton, and now belonged to the United Lutheran Church at Hampton, where he held various church offices over the years. He was also a charter member of the Hampton Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Earl and Archie; 2 sisters, Agnes Peterson and Alice Madsen, and one grandson.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Doris of Hampton; his son Monte and his wife Twila, of North Platte; a brother, Raymond of Gardena, California; 2 sisters, Hilda Madsen of Hampton and Norma Kamtz of Lincoln and 3 grandchildren, Gail, Greg, and Lisa Madsen.
