Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 7, 1991 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Doris Magers

Doris Magers, the daughter of Jim and Grace (Deal) Salmon, was born at Stockham, Nebraska, on November 6, 1905, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 3, 1991, at the age of 85 years, 1 month, and 28 days.

She grew up and attended school in the Stockham area.

On February 23, 1928, she was united in marriage to Vernon Magers, at Grand Island. They lived on a farm south of Aurora, and she was active in the Prairie Gem EUB Church. Vernon died on December 18, 1958.

In 1959, she moved into Aurora, where she worked in the Aurora High School Cafeteria, and also the Hamilton Manor.

Doris was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Royal Salmon and one sister Mabel Jensen.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are one sister, Susie Rennau of Grand Island, and nieces and nephews.
