Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 6, 1991 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Stella Margritz

Stella Marie Margritz, the daughter of Seander and Ruth (Eyers) Swanson, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 7, 1903, and passed away at Valencia, California on March 2, 1991, at the age of 87 years, 3 months, 25 days.

She grew up at Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School.

On December 29, 1920, she was united in marriage to Lewellen Margritz, at Grand Island, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1958.

After her marriage, they lived on a farm 6 miles west of Aurora, until his death, when she moved into Aurora. Stella worked as a cook at the Aurora Hospital for a number of years.

She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, and had been president at one time.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Kermit Swanson, and one sister, Helen Bannister.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 daughters, Deanna Waite of Valencia, California, and Geraldine Otto of Frankfort, Illinois; one sister Dorothy Huffman of San Diego, California; 7 grandchidren and 14 great grandchildren.
