Memorial Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 3, 1996 at the Phillips Methodist Church. Inurnment was held in the Phillips Cemetery in Phillips, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Jeanette Marlatt

Jeanette Carol Marlatt, the daughter of Robert and Esther (Dean) Cornelius, was born at San Rafael, California, on January 13, 1944, and died at Lincoln, Nebraska on January 31, 1996, at the age of 52 years and 18 days.

She grew up in Phillips and graduated from Phillips High School. She then took X-ray training at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island.

On July 5, 1964, she was united in marriage to Curtis Marlatt at Phillips.

Following their marriage, they lived in Boulder, Colorado for one year, Grand Island for 2 years, then Phillips, Aurora, and 5 years in Santa Rosa, California before returning to Phillips in 1994. She had worked at hospitals in Colorado, Aurora, Grand Island and California. She enjoyed sewing, and in the last few months she had joined Jan Shaw in establishing JJ Custom Stitch.

Jeanette loved life, especially in the outdoors, and had a laugh nobody could forget. She was a very devoted wife and mother, and her family meant the world to her. She was a member of the Phillips United Methodist Church and the Phillips Easter Star Chapter #204.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband Curtis of Phillips, 2 sons, Rob of Omaha and Randy of Lincoln, one daughter Theresa Redwine of Lincoln, her parents, Robert and Esther Cornelius of Ogallala, one sister Sharol Reab of Santa Rosa, California, on other relatives and close friends.
