Grace Maw

Grace Maw, age 83, formerly of Aurora, died Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at the Ambassador in Lincoln.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Thursday, September 30th at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Rev. Monty Nelson will officiate. Interment will be in the Golden Rule Cemetery in Giltner. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: GRACE MAW

Grace Audrey Maw, the daughter of Milo and Eunice (Warford) Brugh, was born in Diller, Nebraska on September 26, 1921 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 28, 2004, at the age of 83.

Grace grew up in Gage county, where she graduated from high school.

Grace was united in marriage to Kenneth Albert Maw on August 1, 1941. They lived in Omaha until Kenneth went overseas in the service. When Kenneth returned from the service they moved to Wichita, Kansas. In the spring of 1959, they moved to Aurora. Grace worked at Red and White for 25 years in the meat department. Kenneth passed away on June 5, 1988.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Norris (Ninah) Brugh of Citrus Heights, California; sister-in-law, Beulah Marvel of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Evelyn Maw of Aurora; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
