Keith Maw
Keith Wilber Maw, age 85, of Aurora, died Sunday afternoon, July 18, 2004, at Bryan-LGH East in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 21st at the Aurora Cemetery in Aurora. Rev. Brian Kottas will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: KEITH WILBER MAW Keith Wilber Maw, the son of Wilber E. and Lydia Grace (Springer) Maw, was born in Giltner, Nebraska on April 21, 1919 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 18, 2004, at the age of 85. He grew up in Giltner and attended Giltner High School through the 10th grade. On October 4, 1940, he was united in marriage to Eileen Bayne near Giltner. Keith farmed in Hamilton County for twenty years. He did road maintenance for Hamilton County for twenty-five years. In the 1970s, they moved to Aurora and he worked for the City of Aurora where he was manager of the city and county landfill. Keith was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. He helped with the Meals on Wheels program in Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Brenda Lee Andrews. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Eileen of Aurora; a daughter, Rosanne (Ron) Meyer of Hampton; three brothers, Don of Giltner, Dean of Florence, Colorado, and Larry of Quitman, Texas; three sisters, Eileen Chaney, Cherie Ott, and Marlene Henthorn, all of Aurora; one granddaughter; Wanda Wiles of Aurora, Colorado; two grandsons, Darin and Duane Hoegren of Omaha; four great-granddaughters, Tanya Wartchow of Lexington, Oklahoma, Brandi Andrews of St. Charles, Iowa, Katie Hoegren of Hastings, Hailey Hoegren of Omaha; two great great-grandsons, Cole and Clay Wartchow of Lexington, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, and special friends, Eddie and Jacque Frazier. |
