Lydia MawFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 21, 1986 at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery. OBITUARY: LYDIA MAW Lydia Grace Maw, the daughter of J.C. and Emma (Eicher) Springer, was born at Seward, Nebraska, on December 5, 1898, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 18, 1986, at the age of 87 years, 4 months, and 13 days. She was raised in the Seward area, and at age 4 the family moved to Hamilton County. On December 12, 1916, she was united in marriage to Wilber E. Maw, at Aurora. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1978. They were married 62 years. Her married life was spent in Hamilton County, and the last 1 ½ years were spent in the Hamilton Manor. Lydia was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church and the North Community Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, Albert, Ben, Joe and Bill; 2 sisters, Saloma Vetter and Emma Springer, and 3 grandchildren. Those who survive to cherish her memory are 4 sons; Keith of Aurora, Don of Giltner, Dean of Florence, Colorado, and Larry of Dallas, Texas; 3 daughters, Eileen Chaney and Marlene Henthorn of Aurora, and Cherie Ott of Giltner; one brother, Roy Springer of Aurora and a sister Mabel Smith of Aurora. 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. |
