Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 4, 1989 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Winfred McCarty

Winfred McCarty, the son of Frank and Lottie (McClain) McCarty, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 7, 1916, and passed away at Morris Town, New Jersey, on March 31, 1989, at the age of 73 years, 2 months, and 24 days.

He grew up and graduated from Aurora High School in 1934; and graduated from the Lincoln School of Commerce.

On May 28, 1934, he was united in marriage to Cecelia Corcoran, at Mankato, Kansas. They have resided in New Jersey since 1954.

Winfred was a CPA in Nebraska and Lincoln, and holds Nebraska CPA license No. 83. While living in New Jersey he was with the Internal Revenue Department of the U.S. Government, as senior Appellate Conferee, and retired in 1971. He belonged to American Institute CPA and New Jersey Society of CPA’s.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Hattie Leymaster and Daisy Ball.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Cecelia of Basking Ridge, New Jersey; one son Richard of Hudson, Ohio; his twin brother Wayne of Joshua Tree, California and 5 grandchildren.
