Lola McConnell

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 3, 1986 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Lola McConnell

Lola McConnell, the daughter of Jacob and Eva (Young) Almond, was born at Yates Center, Kansas, on August 27, 1899, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 30, 1985, at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 3 days.

She received her schooling near Vernon, Kansas and grew to womanhood in that community.

She was united in marriage to Roy W. Frost, on June 3, 1916, at Neosho Falls, Kansas. Five children were born to them. She joined the First Christian Church in 1920. They spent most of their life farming. He was also section foreman on the Missouri Pacific Railroad at Ordway, Colorado.

Mr. Frost preceded her in death in 1952. In 1954, she was united in marriage to Ernest McConnell. He also preceded her in death.

Mrs. McConnell was a resident of the Hamilton Manor for the past 12 years.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Robert Frost, daughters, Shirley Johnson and one in infancy, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Those who remain to cherish her passing are 2 sons, Randall Frost of Walla Walla, Washington and Jack Frost of Sturgis, South Dakota; a sister Martha Heslop of Neosho Falls, Kansas; 8 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.
