Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 7, 1994 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Gladys Meyer

Gladys Myrtle Meyer, the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle (Kern) Cherry, was born near Phillips, Nebraska, on July 31, 1903, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 4, 1994, at the age of 90 years, 5 months, and 3 days.

Her childhood was spent in the vicinity of her birth, and she attended public schools in that vicinity.

On April 30, 1921, she was united in marriage to Harold Meyer at Grand Island, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1958. They farmed in the Phillips and Murphy area until his death. Following his death she had a farm sale and moved into Aurora, where she lived with her mother until her death.

Gladys worked in cafes and at the Memorial Hospital until she retired. She resided at Crossroads Court in Aurora, and the last few years she has resided at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.

Those who preceded her in death were her parents, husband, and a brother and sister.

She is survived by nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
