Arthur Miller

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 22, 1990 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Arthur Miller

Arthur Friedrick Miller, the son of Amos and Lydia (Hartman) Miller, was born on a farm northeast of Hampton, on May 8, 1903, and passed away suddenly at a Grand Island Hospital, on January 18, 1990, at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 10 days.

He attended Zion Lutheran School and Hampton High School and Grand Island Business College. In 1928, he moved to Hampton and ran a grocery store until 1946, when he began farming. In 1964 he retired and moved into Hampton.

On August 28, 1932, he was united in marriage to Gertrude Wall at Concord, Nebraska.

He was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church. Art was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, and held different offices at the church. He was also on the Hampton Fire Department for many years, and served 2 terms on the Village Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 sisters, Amanda Zierott, Lorena Klute and Ella Mowitz.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Gertrude, of Hampton, one sister Edna Wall of Hemet, California; 1 niece and 5 nephews, and other relatives and close friends.
