Ben MillerFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 26, 1984 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Ben Miller Ben Miller, the son of William and Lovenia Salmon Miller, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 14, 1920. His death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 23, 1984, at the age of 63 years, 9 months and 9 days. Most of his lifetime was spent in this vicinity and he received his education in the rural schools near his parents home. From December 1942 to May of 1944, he served in the United States Army. On June 30, 1948, he was united in marriage to Hannah Lewis at Lincoln, Nebraska. They farmed south of Aurora for several years and later moved to their present home at the south edge of Aurora. While residing here, he was the caretaker for the Hamilton County Fair Grounds. Ben was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora and the Lester S. Harter Post No. 42 of the American Legion. His parents and one brother, James had preceded him in death. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Hannah; one son Lynn Miller; two daughters, Mrs. Sue Liila and Julie Miller; five granddaughters; one brother, Vernon Miller; and one sister Mrs. Edith Alberts, all of Aurora. Also several nieces and nephews and many friends. |
