Doris Miller

Prayer Services were held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday in the dining room at the Memorial Care Center at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

OBITUARY: Doris Miller

Doris Mildred Miller, the daughter of Carl and Jessie Swanson, was born at Galva, Illinois, on June 22, 1903, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 18, 1992, at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 26 days.

Her mother died in 1905, and she and her father came to Nebraska in 1907. Her father died in 1926.

On November 16, 1938, she was united in marriage to Chris Miller at Davenport, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1980. They farmed northeast of Aurora until they retired and moved into Aurora. In 1980, she entered the Memorial Community Care at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

At an early age Doris was baptized in the Baptist Church, and in 1928, she was baptized in the Aurora Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Maude Swanson, and a half-sister Irene Swanson.

She is survived by cousins, Ted Swanson of Kearney, Alice Johnson of Polk, Harald and Amy Gustafson, and Marie Comer of Aurora.

Her body was donated to the Nebraska Anatomical Board.
