Harold Miller

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 31, 1994 at the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Harold Miller

Harold Eugene Miller, the son of Lee and Edna (Teter) Miller, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 7, 1922, and died suddenly at his home in Aurora, on May 27, 1994, at the age of 71 years, 9 months, and 20 days.

He grew up and graduated from Aurora High School, and after graduation he began working with his father in the Miller Meat Market. In 1945, they began operating the Aurora Coast to Coast Store, and later he and his wife, Norma, operated the store until it was sold in 1972. Then Harold began work as a district manager for Coast to Coast until his retirement in 1984.

On June 26, 1943, he was united in marriage to Norma Pavelka at Aurora. Three daughters were born to this union. She preceded him in death on June 7, 1970.

On January 7, 1972, he married Bonnie (Guilford) Newman at Aurora. She died on May 7, 1993.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and wives, Norma and Bonnie, and a half brother Cleo Kath, and half-sisters Eleanor Smith and Alma Kath.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his 3 daughters, Linda Vetter and her husband Dan of Omaha, Kathleen Reeve and her husband Larry of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, and Susan Springer and her husband Wendell of Kearney; 2 step-sons, Mike Newman of Aurora and Jeff Newman of Lincoln, a step-daughter Gail O’Connor of Sussex, Wisconsin, 6 grandchildren, Brett and Amy Vetter, Lori and Mike Reeve, and Sarah and Matthew Springer; and 5 step-grandchildren, Trey, Brian, and Todd O’Connor; and Rachel and Chase Newman.
