Irene MillerFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, November 14, 1983 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Irene Miller Irene May Miller, the daughter of Ed M. and Jennie (Woolery) Williams, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 18, 1913 and passed away suddenly at her home east of Aurora on November 11, 1983, at the age of 70 years, 4 months and 23 days. Her childhood was spent in Aurora and she graduated from Aurora High School in 1931. She taught school for one year. On July 16, 1932, she was united in marriage to Andrew B. Miller at Aurora. They farmed in Hamilton County at several locations, and in 1952, they moved to their present home. Irene was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and the Dorcas Circle. She was also a member of the Aurora Women’s Club, the Hamilton Manor Auxiliary, and was vice-president of the Aurora Cornhusker Campers Division of the National Campers and Hikers Association. Her parents, 2 infant sons and one grandson had preceded her in death. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Andrew; 3 sons, Billy of Pawnee City; Dale of Grand Island and John E. of Aurora; 3 brothers, Max Williams of Humansville, Missouri, Harry Williams of Mosage Beach, Missouri and Dick Williams of Aurora; 3 sisters, Vera Post of Lakewood, California, Evelyn Sullivan of Long Beach, California and Merle Morrison of Redding, California; 9 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many other relatives and close friends. |
